We are often asked: 'Which hearing aid is best?'. As a proudly independent family-run business, we stock all the major hearing aid brands, including Phonak hearing aids and Oticon hearing aids - but we have no ties to any particular manufacturer.

We have access to all brands in the market with no incentive to supply any particular one. Your hearing is personal and everyone's needs are different. We will always advise which hearing aid is best for you, not us.

Founded in 1977 and based in Löhne, Germany. Audio Service are part of the WS Audiology group which also includes the brands Signia and Widex. Service, a pioneering spirit and innovation are key factors to their success. They are well-known for their high quality hearing instruments. Having one of the highest feature sets available on the market these products are available in the UK exclusively through independent providers.

Bernafon logo

Bernafon are swiss hearing aid manufacturer headquartered in Bern, Switzerland. The brand is part of the William Demant group who also own the Oticon and Sonic Innovations brands. Operating in over 70 countries, Bernafon are known for manufacturing high quality technology. Bernafon’s hearing aids feature patented ChannelFree processing, which delivers a very natural sound quality.

Founded in 1904 and based in Copenhagen, Denmark, Oticon are one of the oldest and largest global hearing aid manufacturers. Part of the William Demant group, Oticon have won several design awards and are known for their high quality sound. This manufacturer has had great success with their OPN range of products. Oticon also have their own chain of Audioclinic retail stores throughout Australia and the rest of the world.

Phonak are a swiss company based in Stäfa, Switzerland and are one of the largest worldwide manufacturers. They are part of the Sonova group whose core brands include Unitron, Hansaton, Advanced Bionics and AudioNova. Phonak hearing aids are a market leader for innovation and known for their exceptional performance in noise and high quality music reproduction.

GN Resound logo

Founded in 1943, ReSound are based in Ballerup, Denmark. Offering excellent sound and innovation ReSound have been responsible for a number of industry firsts. This includes WDRC (Wide Dynamic Range Compression) which broke new boundaries for sound processing. ReSound also invented DFS (Digital Feedback Suppression), the first system to eliminate unwanted screeching from hearing aids.

Formerly known as Siemens Hearing Instruments, Signia are now part of the WS Audiology Group. The WS Audiology Group includes the brands Widex, Audio Service & Rexton. With headquarters in Erlangen, Germany and also Singapore they are one of the worlds largest manufacturers. Employing 5000 people in 25 countries Signia proudly manufacture 1 in 4 hearing aids worn worldwide. Signia’s focus is on innovation within the audiology industry. Some of their trademark technologies include OVP (Own Voice Processing) and onboard acoustic motion sensors.

Starkey are an American hearing aid manufacturer based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Ronald Regan brought them to the fore when he wore their completely in the canal hearing aids. The Starkey philosophy is to only introduce technology that has proven client benefit. One of only two companies using 2.4gHz wireless connectivity, they have recently introduced the worlds first custom hearing instruments with rechargability.

Unitron are a Canadian hearing aid manufacturer and are part of the Sonova Group, who also own global brand leader Phonak. Their product development is still based in Kitchener, Ontario however their production facility is now in the same grounds as Phonak in Switzerland. They share some of the same technologies as Phonak however have their own innovation identity creating some of the best automated hearing instruments in the industry.

Widex is a Danish hearing aid manufacturer based in Lynge, Denmark. In recent years they have become part of the WS Audiology group who also own the brands, Signia and Audio Service. This manufacturer is known for leading the field in high fidelity sound quality with the use of their own proprietary amplification strategy. Many existing users will not wear anything else. Focusing on the independent market they manufacture some of the highest quality, ultra premium hearing aids available today.
